The wild lantana flowers in our backyard are getting visits from industrious bees looking for a Spring treat. Photographing bees is not always easy but I took my time yesterday afternoon and captured this amazing close-up, which is my final entry in the Best Spring Photo contest. Oh, and I survived without a sting!

Absolutely amazing, it is very hard to capture bees(not to mention scary:) But you did a fantastic job...the image is crystal clear and bokeh is nice and smooth. Perfection!

Theme is perfect -- bees BEGIN spring -- flowers bloom to attract them, without them we lose the great food variety they help support. Perfect picture for this theme, and what a brilliant, unusual bloom to "catch" the bee visiting. Great shot!
