I adopted Neko (a different take on the Japanese name for cat) from the local SPCA shelter the summer of 2001. We bonded instantaneously...I've never doubted that we were meant for each other. She loves to take naps with me in the afternoon, play catch with paper scrunched into ball shapes, and never fails to reciprocate loving affection. She "talks back" once in a while, but most of the time she chirps with pleasure. And, she makes the funniest faces with I bring out the camera. I think she's a big ham! I love Neko with all of my heart.
