This was taken on one of the last paddleboat tours of Lake Tahoe during the 2007 season. Tahoe is a glacial lake with water is so clear, you can see for about 20 m. Emerald Bay is shallow enough that it reflects only the green part of the spectrum, not blue like the deeper parts of the lake. When we entered the bay, I was so amazed by the color difference and rippling liquid movement, I had to take that image home with me.
