This is a panorama of the skyline of Atlanta, as seen from the top of one of the parking decks at the Coca Cola Company (my place of work and producers of my preferred brand of diet sparkling beverage).  It took about 30 minutes (with the temperature in the low 20's) to photograph, using 16 different sections, with each section taken at 3 different exposure settings.  This was needed to help insure that I would get a consistent set of pictures to stitch together.  The final photo is about 15 megabytes in size and was produced to give an 11" x 30" photo, which is framed and above my fireplace.

Wow - I always love the Atlanta skyline, and this captures it so well!

Shan I did not do any color correction. I thought about it, maybe try to make the yellow a bit whiter, but the long exposure time and the yellowness of the sodium lights can really make things look different. On the parking deck, things did look a bit darker. Also, I have two Konica's, Z2 and and A2, but if you could get any other Konica digital, I wouldn't recommend it. They hit the pinnacle of their technology with the A2, putting nearly everything on the camera (the only it doesn't have is interchangable lenses). The Z2 is a great point an shoot for its time. I bought that one to take pictures of bison in Oklahoma (it had an unheard of at the time 10x optical zoom).

In my last comment, I was saying about their entire line of cameras, this seems to be a good camera in their line..It is nice to know about this camera..thanks

Dr.K, Thanks for the reply. One more Q!!. Was the sky dark that night..or u wanted to have this color?.. and Yes..Minolta's are nice ones and It is pity that they are out of business. but anyway i was not a big fan of their digital ventures especially with konica..they are not bad..they are just ok compared to other performers...My personal opinion..:)

Shan The Camera is a Konica-Minolta A2. Unfortunately, Konica-Minolta has pulled out of the camera business. The Sony Alpha series cameras are essentially the same things as I use. I bracketed, with a locked auto exposured (to keep the aperture, etc, the same) I did use a tripoid and a remote cable to get the shot.

Shan - Jul-20-07 16:34 EDT

This is great. BTW..Which camera did u use..very low noise..though i am an amateur in photography..i think u must have played with auto bracketting right..when u say that three different exposure settings !!. Did you use any software correction to enhance the light?..overall..this is a great foto..OOPS...I am not sure..If i can ask questions being a judge!!!

I am very impressed. What a great project. Makes me want to do that with more photos I take.
