This photo was taken on a cold winters day which I imagine is why there are no brave souls trying out the rapids.  In the background of the photo you can make out the lake the rapids open into.  I took the shot from a wobbling bridge at a bend in the river.  I just loved how whitethe rapids appeared, compared to the dark lake beyond.
