When at the beach, the focus is usually on the sun, the sand or the water. The adventure you make is your own. A vast ocean that stretches on forever and hold countless mysteries under the surface, most of which we can't begin to comprehend.
That's why we like to sit on the beach and lie in the sun and avoid such thoughts. And some of us like to peruse the dunes and hunt the native species that populate the beach.
The picture tells the story. Nature has put up one last bastion of terrestrial defense against the endless power of the sea and wind. Beyond this protective cover, the confident few gather to bask in the energy provided by nature in the form of sun, water and wind.
They don't like to be bothered and definitely don't like to be photographed, but you can see hints of them in the lower left hand corner just in the tops of the grass.
