This is a simple recipe perfect for halloween.  You can create your own combinations but I love this sweet and spicy treat.

Ingredients:

Seeds from your carved pumpkin
3 tablespoons of butter or margerine
1/2 brown sugar
2 teaspoons cheyenne pepper
salt if desired

Directions:

  1. Preheat  oven to 325 degrees
  2. Wash seeds in cold water and remove any pumpkin pulp, dry throughly
  3. Melt butter and stir in brown sugar, cheyenne pepper, and salt
  4. Pour mixture over the seeds and spread onto a cookie sheet in 1 layer
  5. Bake for 25 minute, stirring after 10 minutes
  6. Cool and enjoy your halloween snack

If your in the mood for savory, try this recipe with olive oil, salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese. YUM

This looks great - I never know what to do with the seeds! But now the question of... how do you get them all separated from the pumpkin goo? I have such a hard time with that!
