Tis apple season, and you know what they say. An apple the day keeps the doctor away. These apples are perfect to serve as a dessert treat for any fall meal and so easy to make. This especially works for a halloween party because of its caramel and chocolate yumminess.
Ingredients:
Apples (crispins work well because they do not turn brown when cut)
1 bag Caramels
1 large chocolate bar
12 ounces mixed chopped nuts or crushed candies
Directions:
- Wash apples, push popsicle sticks firmly into the center, set aside
- Melt caramels in the microwave until smooth
- Dip the apple into the caramel and throughly coat (you can reheat the caramel as needed to coat all your apples)
- Roll into the nuts or candy to coat and then place on wax paper to firm up
- While the apples harden, melt the chocolate in the microwave until smooth
- Drizzle the chocolate onto the apples and refrigeratetill ready to enjoy
- Slice and enjoy the sweet goodness
