Tis apple season, and you know what they say.  An apple the day keeps the doctor away.  These apples are perfect to serve as a dessert treat for any fall meal and so easy to make.  This especially works for a halloween party because of its caramel and chocolate yumminess.

Ingredients:

Apples (crispins work well because they do not turn brown when cut)

1 bag Caramels

1 large chocolate bar

12 ounces mixed chopped nuts or crushed candies

Directions:

  1. Wash apples, push popsicle sticks firmly into the center, set aside
  2. Melt caramels in the microwave until smooth
  3. Dip the apple into the caramel and throughly coat (you can reheat the caramel as needed to coat all your apples)
  4.  Roll into the nuts or candy to coat  and then place on wax paper to firm up
  5. While the apples harden, melt the chocolate in the microwave until smooth
  6. Drizzle the chocolate onto the apples and refrigeratetill ready to enjoy
  7. Slice and enjoy the sweet goodness
