These Ceehive Site Rules, as they may be amended from time to time, have been incorporated in their entirety into the User Agreement and therefore constitute part of your legal agreement with Ceehive. Failure to adhere to these Site Rules may result in suspension or termination of your User Account, loss of privileges on the Ceehive site, voiding of your Contests or entries, and/or forfeiture of fees paid by you. Capitalized terms used in these Ceehive Site Rules shall be as defined in the User Agreement.
In addition to any Contest Rules specified by the Sponsor, the following rules apply for all Contests:
No Fees to Enter. Users are not required to pay any fee, purchase anything or part with anything valuable in order to enter a contest. Users need not be on the site or “present” in order to win.
Non-Random Judging Criteria. Judging criteria and the process of judging by Sponsors may not contain any element of randomness, chance or luck. (More guidance)
Conditional Eligibility. Sponsors may require Contest winners to enter into additional undertakings and agreements (e.g., assignments of intellectual property rights, liability waivers, etc.) as a condition of winning a contest, where so defined in the Contest Rules. Failure to execute such undertakings in accordance with the Contest Rules, upon notification of your having won the Contest, may result in the disqualification or ineligibility of your entry.
Subject to Laws. All Contests and Contest Rules are void where prohibited, and subject to all applicable laws and regulations.
Number of Entries. Unless otherwise stated in Contest Rules, more than one entry per User is permitted.
Voiding of Entries. Ceehive or the Sponsor reserves the right to void any Contest entry:
That has materially failed to follow the Contest Rules or is not submitted in good faith
that violates the User Agreement
is submitted by any user who tampers with the operation of the Contest
Extending of Contests. Ceehive reserves the right to allow Sponsors to extend active Contests.
Prize Winners. Shipping will be paid for by Sponsor. Taxes and any other expenses not specified in the Contest Rules are the prize winner’s responsibility. Prizes are not transferable or assignable. To the extent a Contest winner refuses to fulfill obligations that were a condition specified in the Contest Rules (see above under “Conditional Eligibility”) within seven (7) days of receiving notice of winning, such initial winner shall forfeit the prize and his or her entry shall be deemed voided. The prize shall thereafter be awarded to the next-highest vote getter in a community-judged Contest, or in a Sponsor-judged Contest, to the entry deemed the next winner by such Sponsor within seven (7) days of the voiding of the initial entry (such process to repeat until an eligible winner is found, or thirty (30) days after the initial void entry, whichever is shorter).
Notification. If you are the winner in a Contest, you will be notified in your Ceehive account and by e-mail (unless you have disabled this notification feature in your account settings) within five (5) days of winning the Contest. Your mailing address will also be provided to the Sponsor of the Contest at such time.
Deposits. Ceehive may require a deposit in the amount of the retail value of the prize to be offered for any Sponsored Contest.
Voiding of Contests. Any Contest Rules specified by the Sponsor which are contrary to the above terms are void.
The following are invalid prizes and may result in the voiding of your Contest and/or other action against the User by Ceehive as specified in the User Agreement:

Alcohol
Drugs or descriptions of how to make drugs
Firearms, other weapons or descriptions of how to make them
Pornographic or adult items, or sexual acts
E-mail addresses or other personal data
Body parts
Items having a retail value in excess of $200
Contracts
Offensive items, such as Nazi memorabilia
Counterfeit or stolen items
Items to be shipped from outside the United States
Items illegal to buy, sell or trade, or restricted items whose sale, transfer or shipment is subject to legal restrictions
Other items as notified to you as prohibited by Ceehive representatives, upon reasonable grounds for such notice (provided, however, that this “reasonable grounds” notice shall not alone result in loss or suspension of your account).
The following rules will be applied in judging Contests and awarding prizes in such Contests:
Ties in Community Judging. Where community judging results in a tie, the winner will be the entry that was submitted first in time.
No Judges in Community Judging. If after the Contest has ended, there has been no judging in a community-judged Contest, the Contest will be void and no prize will be awarded.
Unresponsive Sponsor. In the case of a Sponsor-judged Contest, where the Sponsor refuses to name a winner within seven (7) days of the Contest’s end date, the Contest shall be deemed community-judged and the winner will be awarded accordingly. To the extent the Sponsor does not ship the prize, any deposit on file with Ceehive for that Contest will be awarded to the winner.
Disputes/Failure to Ship Prize. In the event you were an eligible winner (i.e. fulfilled all conditional requirements) and did not receive your prize from the Sponsor within thirty (30) days of the end of the Contest, or you have another dispute with a user, you may contact Ceehive at support@ceehive.com with a request for dispute resolution. Failure to respond to a dispute resolution or Contest inquiry from Ceehive may result in suspension or termination of account privileges, forfeiture of deposits or fees, or other remedies by Ceehive.
Important Note: Dispute resolution, where provided, is only available for account holders in good standing (i.e., all fees paid, no outstanding claims by other users or Ceehive for violations). Dispute resolution may be offered in the discretion of Ceehive as an accommodation to users and does not render Ceehive a principal in any transaction, nor agent of any user. To the extent dispute resolution is unavailable for your dispute, or you do not receive satisfaction of your claim as a result of dispute resolution, you must take the dispute up with the other user as set forth in Section II.6 and VI.5 of the User Agreement.
Users may not (i) market or promote their own or third party websites, (ii) sell or offer goods and services, (iii) embed links to their own or third party websites or (iv) solicit charitable donations or promote charities on the Site, except under the following conditions:
Sponsors of paid Contests may do any of the above, other than solicit charitable donations or promote charities, in their Contests.
Contest entries which may result in the transfer of intellectual property to the Contest Sponsor are not a violation of this Site Rule.
Users may sell goods and services from a Ceehive-based platform on their own Hive.
Users may embed links to their own or third party web sites in their User Submissions, provided that Ceehive reserves the right to require a linking agreement for the continuance of such link.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your User ID and your password. You are also entirely responsible for any and all activities that occur under your User ID and password. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your User ID and password or any other breach of our security.
From time to time, Ceehive will need to perform updates and system maintenance. This may or may not cause system downtime. Contest ending times may be extended without notice as a result of scheduled or unscheduled downtime, but any such extensions are made in our discretion.
Advertisers and Contest Sponsors
You may correspond with or participate in promotions of Contest Sponsors or the advertisers that advertise on our website. Any such correspondence or participation is solely between you and the Contest Sponsor or advertiser and we have no responsibility or obligation to you or the Contest Sponsor or the advertiser for your transactions or correspondence.
